Makeshift Hearts

Hi,

As you might already know.

We decided to call it a day.

When Arne decided quit the band in October we were all very positive about finding a new guitarist and keep the band going. While we were searching for a new guitarplayer we were busy writing new songs. I guess for some of us it wasn’t what it used to be and due school we couldn’t find much time to rehearse anymore. I think this has been the point where we all got a different point of view on the band and what we would achieve. We kept on struggling for a few weeks until two weeks ago when our drummer Sam said he wasn’t sure if he wanted to go on with the band. We decided to let everyone think about what they wanted and yesterday Sam told us he was leaving. With this happening our guitar player Sam told us he also wasn’t sure about going on with Sam leaving and the fact that he hasn’t much time anymore due school. After all this being said we decided it’s for the better to just make an end to Makeshift Hearts.

We want you to know that every single moment of being in this band was worth it!

We all agree that these were probably the best days in our lives so far and we couldn’t have had better friends/bandmembers to be this band.

We really want to thank every single person who came to our shows, bought a CD or a T-shirt and booked a show for us!

Our parents for driving us everywhere ever since Two-Piece Corpse started and changed to Makeshift Hearts!

Every band we played with especially When Hope Escapes, Arizona, Grey Like masquerade, Campus, Homer and so many other bands for being such nice guys to hang out with at shows! Especially Exit On The Left for teaching us everything when we were the 15 year old kids who knew nothing about the whole band being!

Also our awesome friends who supported us through the years! Eric, Marianne, Stephanie, Geertrui but especially Hugo for selling our merchandise at every single show we ever played!

What the future will bring!

Ronald and Wout will definitely start a new band and go on trying to achieve what they always wanted to!

Arne will probably become a professional guitarist when he’s finished his school!

Maybe we’ll see him on TV who knows!

Sam Sterckval will focus on his carreer and new hobby and start the best race team there will ever be!

Sam will continue playing the guitar and the piano but just not in a band right now.

We are planning to do a goodbye show!

So we hope to see as many faces as possible out there, giving the best they’ve got!

Hey guys,

As you might know Arne has left the band.

This means we are from now on looking for a new guitarist.

Please note that we are a growing band with a lot of ambitions.

And we need someone who fits in this next profile

You need to:

• Have to be able to rehearse at least 1 or 2 times/week
• Have decent gear to play shows and make decent recordings
• Commit yourself to the band, we’ll probably play shows, rehearse and write a lot in the future so we need someone who is willing to be there every time!
• Be a good guitarist!  We need someone who is able to play the stuff that’s on our record but also you need to have some experience in writing new songs.  (We’ll upload the tabs as soon as possible so you can learn a song to prove us that you’re the right guy)
• Apart from all this you have to be a really fun guy with a nice attitude

Hey guys!

Summer is almost over (if we can call it a summer)
But more important!
We are back in action!

We have been rehearsing 2 new songs and will play them as soon as we’re sure about them being tight enough! 

We also have some other news!
Since our drummer has the chance to go on a holiday with his job for free!
We are rehearsing with Jan Vangrunderbeek! He’s filling in on the drums at the memphis may fire show in ‘de metteko in Mechelen’

There is still some work to be done but he’s already doing really great!

By the way what do you think of our new tourbus?

Makeshift Hearts

Hi everyone!

Here’s a small update about the band!

In the last months we gained a lot of fans and we had really good reactions about the EP!
We really want to thank you for that! 

Unfortunately we won’t be able to play shows from half july until the end of august. Arne is in a youth movement and has to go to camp with the children, Ronald i going to America and turkey.  

But! We will use this time to write songs and plan new things for the next months! 
We hope we can play some cool shows from september on!
So if you want the book us don’t hesitate to contact!

We’ll also have a little surprise at the end of the summer holidays!

Hey!

We willen echt iedereen bedanken die aanwezig was op onze EP Release!

Het was echt ne super avond! er is gedanst gedronken gefeest!

We hebben dit vooral te danken aan de mensen die ons geholpen hebben!

Onze vrienden die elke show meekomen en aan de merch zitten. Die gistere heel de avond mee hebben getapt en opgekuisd en al de rest! 

Danku aan Jonas en Tom om mee te komen zingen! Sam om bass te spelen!

Onze ouders om mee te helpen! ons naar shows te rijden (vroeger al meer dan nu!)

Lennart om te helpen om de samples te maken!
